Pastor Bob and Christine Holmes are the Principal (Bob) and Administrator (Christine) of the HIM Ministry Training Centre. Bob and Christine had a very successful 6 years in the Solomon Islands leading Eastern Solomons Bible Training Centre training, developing young men and women to be released in to ministry throughout the Solomon Islands. Many of the graduates are pastors and leaders who now are growing strong and flourishing churches in the Solomon Islands.

 Bob and Christine were part of the pastoring team at Takapuna Assembly of God (New Zealand) for many years. Bob and Christine have a passion for teaching and training God’s people, and have a real vision to see leaders  trained and equipped to take the church forward in Fiji and other nations.

 MAILAGI’ • From Heaven • The H.I.M. Ministry Training Centre in Lautoka, Fiji has been established by His International Mission to provide training for men and women of Fiji and other nations who wish to develop and increase their understanding of the Word of God and to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to be effective in ministering in church ministries in Fiji and other nations.

 If you would like to know more about the Word of God and to be better equipped to serve God, then ‘Mailagi’ is the place for you. ‘Mailagi’ provides a One Year Certificate Course (two semesters) for those wishing to become equipped to be involved in Christian ministry.   Scripture is profitable for teaching (doctrine), training (Godly living), and ‘Mailagi’ provides a place that enables the people of God to become men or women of God, matured in the things of God. Students can join the course at the beginning of any semester but must complete a years study to gain Certificate.

 2 Timothy 2:1-2 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.  And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. Students learn so that they might be able to teach and disciple others.

 The students will receive both teaching in the classroom and practical application during the Certificate Course—they will attend lectures, do assignments, visit  churches for practical experience, take services, lead worship, share testimonies, preach the Word of God, pray for people on altar calls and more.

 All lecturers at ‘Mailagi’ are experienced Christians who have proved God in their lives and who have good Christian testimonies. They speak from practical experience. They have proved what they teach is true because it is based on the Word of God and is spoken in the power of the Spirit.

 As a result of attending ‘Mailagi’ students will be firmly established in the truths of the gospel so that as Paul said to Timothy – they will be able to pass on what they have been taught and have learnt.

 Matt 28: 19-20 – Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
